1:4 Ultra Ken Statue

Paint is well done imo, the veins have bluish tint like Zangief, the hair has multiple shades of blonde not just one tone.

The only part I didn't really like are the yellow gloves, so I have the brown gloves on and all is well. The factory did a pretty good job on this one imo.

The only thing i'm not sold on is his face. The alpha portrait looks too old?

Theokan can you do some close ups of both portraits from a couple of angles?

I think the EX is a must for the brown gloves to be honest, i don't know hwy they went with orange on the reg at all and the yellow gloves are for the Alpha portrait so that makes sense but brown works with the Alpha portrait too.....

It's just the orange ones which look bad lol.

I’m not sold on face either but this looks on par with everyone else in ultra line. Flames look insane.

I can get some more photos later, but I know what you mean. Both heads use the same headsculpt, and he does look a bit old for Alpha, the expression makes him look older imo.

They originally sculpted a neutral smirk head for Ken, I kind of wish they included the original one as I prefer that face more.

At this point with the Ultra line i'm kinda on hold for characters like Ken and Ryu because of Prime 1 showing their Ryu and Akuma in a few weeks.

I doubt Prime 1 will ever get to characters like Ibuki but for major characters like Ken and Ryu i can hold out and weigh up my options.

Especially Ryu at this point, i adore the Ultra Ryu but with the Prime 1 so close i'd be a fool for not waiting to see it first.

So at this point i've got Ibuki and Bison paid for and i'll pick up Dhalsim as i think that's pretty much perfect....but i'll wait and see what Prime 1 has in store...

I don't think it helps that it's a realistic face sculpt...for me Alpha/Zero should always be anime like.

What is a shame is they didn't do the hair detachable so you could put either one on either head, that would have been a great option, i think the open mouth with the SF2 hair might have been a real winner.

What was vega ultra after discount? This should be his price or less given kens size and even more simplified base than vega.

Vega went up in July 2015 for $415

Ken went up in Feb 2017 for $450 with out flames and $500 with.

I think considering the rise in prices overall, he was priced pretty well.
