Honestly I doubt it would ever happen but I am just crazy like that.
It would be cool, but heck I can do one on my own anyway, print it and have it painted by Dark Spidey

I'm looking to invest in a Z650 myself. I want to get into making my own statues....seeing as how people seem to run away from Transformers statues.

Still trying to figure out what is up with that. Seems it would be easier to do more geometric machine shapes than figures digitally.

Oh well....one day.

How do those things work? You just design it in a program and then a machine prints the entire statue out for you? Just throw in some clay and it molds it?

Forgive my ignorance. I'm at work and could do the research on my own, but most sites are blocked from Gov computers. I'm lucky I can get on this one!

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Heh, no not clay (although I believe you can get ones that use plaster (or at least powder that forms into plaster somewhere along the way). Haven't used one myself yet but I believe you load it up with resin (or powder I think) and it 'prints' the 3d model that you've made layer by layer. Picture a cake piping bag that is controlled by a computer moving back and forth / side to side but with a much more accurate tip. That's one type anyway - the process the machine uses can vary particularly if you are using different materials e.g metal etc. Have a look on youtube when you get home. All pretty simple but just not something you tend to hear about/see much info on very often. They're pretty cool.

Sure someone else can cast more light on it. Erick has one in house I believe.

Reminds me, I need to get me on this 3D printing course locally when I get time!
