This is the JP T-rex (there are four set pieces involving this animal in the movie, and SW's animatronics can only be seen in one of these, at night and under the rain), so a screen accurate statue needs this exact skin texture.
The Rex looks like it has a lot more bulk in those pics than the IS Rex does. The IS Rex looks more like the JW Rex

Any idea when the full Rex half of the diorama will go up for preorder?

In terms of shape, yes, you're right. But in terms of skin texture i think this might be the most screen accurate JP T-rex actually.
Even ILM made a worse job than IS in recreating that animal.

Plus, those colors are just mindblowing to me. That's the rex that i grown up with surrounded by JP ephemera.
They just used too much green in some spots (but it may depends on some pics), because actually green should not be used at all on this animal if not to create different shades of brown (there's a subtle use of blue and purple on the body of the ILM color reference maquette, instead), but it may depends on the pics and overall i couldn't love it more colorwise.

You have great taste Chris. The Chronicle Breakout Rex is amazing. Here is a pic of mine. It's my favorite statue.

So if I were to PO the T Rex now I would be able to get just the Diorama with the crushed car later???

Is the T rex going to be the exact same one as the one on preorder??

I only ask because IS said they delayed the dio because they were tweaking the T rex and the car.

I explained it all in our FB Live tonight. Check it out and let me know if you have additional questions.

I’d type it all out here but it’s complicated.

Any chance of seeing the link to the video here? Not registered on Facebook and had the same questions with this complicated dio.
