Funny thing just happened on eBay
I won the auctions and paid for Dynamic Forces/Alex Ross life-size headbusts for Green Goblin and The Thing on eBay and an hour ago I got an email from eBay. They shut down the seller's account and terminated the auctions.
Now I have to get my refund for my payment. It's unfortunate. I really wanted those headbusts. They were mint too. Would've looked great almost completing my head-bust collection.

Were these for the guy with zero feedback? If so, I put several of his items on watch but would not pull the trigger … too much risk

Are you certain the e-mail you received is really from E-bay?
Double check by going to your e-bay account directly before replying to any e-mails.

Seller's name was waterlilly and she had zero feedback. I was asking her questions all week about shipping, fees, quality of the busts, etc. She answered all questions, gave me quotes for shipping, etc. Very friendly person it seemed.

Yes, the emails are from eBay. The auctions were removed from eBay and the seller was suspended. I can't even go back to the auctions from 'My eBay' page because they no longer exist. The auctions were terminated and there is no history now of them ever existing. So definitely ebay took action on the seller for whatever reason.

I was a complete sucker! Never should I have bought anything so expensive from a seller with no history.
The busts looked good and in mint shape. Hell even The Thing bust was flake-free and mint. Oh well, maybe another day.

Here's what happened. I bid on and won the 2 large head-sculptures yesterday from eBay and I paid through credit card (via paypal) for the items that same day. This morning, I received an email from the 'eBay Loss Prevention Department' telling me that the seller's auction listings have been removed and the seller has been suspended.
Obviously now I have to get back my money which I paid through my credit card. I made the credit card payment just yesterday so it won't show up on my card for a few days.
I've emailed the seller to reimburse me. Is this the correct action?
Afterall, it was a credit card payment through paypal.
