I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I'm also betting the COH is masked version.

I think it's a big improvement from the old X23 statue by Sideshow that was to me too cute and looked cartoony. I don't mean that in negative way, but I prefer my statues more realistic for Marvel heroes.

Holy hell, I've never seen it from that angle, that looks awful. This new one kicks the snot out of that monstrosity.

I wasn't going to say anything, but I agree.

I’ve been waiting since that one for this one. It’s been a long wait. Never did like the art style they went with. It didn’t match anything else they were doing at the time or since really. It’s quite odd looking from almost every angle.

I think you can have different opinions as long as we can see each others interpretation then it works.

For ex. I can see the leaping fwd (minus the hair issue) as well as the round house kick and the jumping/falling downward, all applications work.
Same here, if there is an alternate portrait its actually quite creative to have a single statue be interpreted in that many ways. Though i think when its fully revealed the intention behind the pose will be clear.

Oddly enough my scientific research into the hair in the air subject did not yield similar results to this piece.

Maybe she is coming out of a flip? The research continues...

No need.
I friendly asked Alysha Newman, a very well known canadian champion, to propose us a «demonstration».

First: she runs.

Second: She jumps. Interesting: as you can see, she uses a kind of long stick.

Third:

She flies! And seems to be happy.

Fourth: and now look carefully at the hair... BECAUSE IT'S HAPPENING:

"Why" is your question.
BECAUSE SHE IS FALLING is your answer.

Don't worry, the flight ends well.

Thank you Alysha!!

When you’re done figuring that out, can you look into the claws coming out of her hands and feet? I’m not sure why, I just feel like I’ve never seen that on a real girl before. Could just be me.
