Same. Reading Thor as a child in the 60s taught me words that baffled my teachers. I had to go look up "halcyon" and "yore," started talking about "the halcyon days of yore," and eventually my teachers asked where I learned these words. I remember the looks on their faces when I told them. They probably thought Marvel comic books were just kiddy material.
