Sideshow PF

Hello everyone, New to the forum, have been collecting for some time now and starting to get into more high end statues. The only sideshow piece I currently have is the Snake Eyes and timber statue that I completely adore. My question is a question I'm sure as been answered 100 times so please have patience lol I have my eyes on the new wolverine Brown suit PF and newly announced dark Phoenix PF. My question is what exactly is a premium format figure. Some premium formats I have seen appear to be made with mixed media with cloth/materials etc which personally I don't prefer but the two pieces I mentioned above don't look like are made with mixed media. Can anyone tell me what they are made of and what a premium format figure is. Is it a statue? Polystone? What are they made off...specifically the two pieces I have me eyes on. Why aren't they called premium format statues? Thanks again!!

Premium format are 1:4 scale regardless if they are fully sculpted or have mixed media (cloth). Most (like 99%) are made of Polystone. Only recently, the Man of Steel and R2D2 PFs are pvc. Some statues uses combination of Polystone & pvc. Some have light up feature too.
