Question Question for Poker Players.

Guys just rewatched Casino Royal. You know in the final hand there are four players left. The Japanese player goes all in 6 million, the African player 5 million and then Lecheff and Bond well over 40 million each all in. My question is since Lecheff raised after the African player how were both he and the Japanese players still in the draw? I assume it was just for the added tension? Or where they legitimately still in the game?

I've seen that move dozens of times and I never noticed the poker players were Japanese or African. I just saw them as people.

They were still in the game but what happens is called a "locked pot". So the African player had 5 million total which means he can only win 5 million from each other player should he win the hand. The Japanese player could only win 6 Million.

My kind of thread! Only a few of us ever talk about poker on here.

Rod's right; it's so everyone who's still in the hand could still partipate in the game, in layman's terms. Their individual winnings would be dictated by the amount of each individual's final push.
