H.M.O. No longer exist (apparently)

LOADING: Image(s)

I was watching:
RaddTitan Podcast #323 - Exposing Scammers in the Hobby & Latest Collectibles News

H.M.O. No longer exist (apparently) because of the individual (Danny H.) pictured.
(allegedly) Danny H. (Hinze?) is a bad apple in the community.
-

I hope H.M.O. find a way back.
The H.M.O. website appears to be functioning.
The H.M.O. Facebook page has had zero activity for years.

-

EDIT Changed Heinz to Hinze ..i had spelt Heinz the way they spell it for Baked Beans

I haven't watched the Podcast but Danny (Hinze) stopped working with them years ago (like 2018 I think?). He was recently throwing some shade at Mufizal and Daren Ong claiming they didn't pay him for 3 years and did other stuff but didn't really provide any evidence that was sensible. Also hard to trust him as he has scammed people in the past.

As for HMO it's been about a year (last word from them was August of last year) since they've said anything. Probably a good chance they may not make anything new in the future. They did say in their last message that they are still working on stuff but a year is a pretty long time.

They have certainly been quiet for a long time now. I've noticed a few other companies similar to them having issues of sorts. I hope it doesn't become a more common trend in this industry.

These sort of cases damage the hobby. Bad enough in custom spaces, but actually licensed companies just folding up with no message can really burn people scaring them off pre orders.

That's pretty sad, if true, about HMO being no more. I have their Morrigan and Felicia statues, and they are so incredibly well done. I was hoping they would make a Chun Li someday in the same style.

That stinks. They never finished the Beastly Beauties line.

HMO finished out all their open orders and even replacements for them. So as far as companies closing down (if they did) HMO did it perfect.

HMO, Kinetiquettes, Level 52, and Oniri are some of the many companies that I can immediately think of that sit in this weird grey area of being a small company that releases licensed statues at a slow pace and go silent very often to the point to where you really have no idea if they went under or not. We of course had companies like Chronicles and ARH where the drama ended up collapsing and the company folded. Oniri got bailed out. I'll never understand how Kinetiquettes manages to survive. I believe Level 52 is gone but I am not entirely sure.

There are a lot of companies like this so it can make me nervous seeing any sort of drama or issues that happen with any of them. It doesn't help that I often see a lot of the same license grabs among them. Whenever I see a company grab the Frazetta license, I interpret it as a Death Flag.

Yeah it doesn't matter if they have made good pieces.
Like Kinetiquettes I love their stuff but they seriously need to close shop or at the the least stop selling to the general public.
Terry sold 250 and Geese only 130. What's Leona gonna do 60?
Then there's the never knowing what you will get, YEARS long delays, and never knowing if QC will be good and if not will it be resolved.

I partially blame long time collectors too. Just stop POing directly with these douche bags. Yes douche bags, no matter their intentions.
