thnx tim just ordered dental tools and alcohol torch .i think im ok for rakes and ball tools (i bought loads when i started and only use 5 max lol) .

ok cool, I was hoping to save you cash on endless tools!! lol. Like you I have a few but only use 3-5 as well.

did you find the alco torch in the uk?

ah, shame. That'll be expensive I guess. I got mine from Bracon Dental here in the UK years ago but they don't even carry the wicks anymore..... :/

cool, well it sounds like you are getting stuff together bud. Have fun sculpting with Chavant. All this talk of it is giving me the Oil Clay bug.... lol.

just recieved my chavant from dauphines bought 2 pound of each soft/medium/hard see which 1 suits me best.thnx again for the help guy's

Why not try hard brown wax from Bentley Chemicals? Its great for sculpting small detailed objects... Check out my 1:6 scale William Hartnell Doctor Who head.

thnx philfx i have looked into Bentley Chemicals but could not find the wax you mentioned .i dont use this site much anymore but thnx for the help

Having used sculpey for a few years, I wanted to explore oil based clay, in particular monster based on recommendations on this forum. Does anyone know how Monster compares with Becks Plastilin? which I've seen used aswell.
