G1 Transformers Announced!

Straight from Ant!

“We will be not only doing small scale transformers, but we will now also do large scale transformers. G1 cartoon baby! Coming this year as well.”

Great news for all you Transformers fans!

So will these be straight up cartoon accurate versions like the He-man filmation was or will they be G1 but with added detailing like the Imaginarium Arts G1 line ?

Sounds like what IA was doing until they changed the art direction to compete with XM.

Very excited for this. If they're small scale, cartoon accurate, and affordable, I might just buy every one they make. My wallet's crying already.

It would be wise to consult the big TF fan sites/forums. Just making toon style 1/4 scale statues would be a waste of the license.

A small scale line, in scale with each other is great, but you need to promise collectors that you will go deep, early on.

This is what I'm hoping for.

I mean, I'll take something like the Filmation line, however I think the details in IA Soundwave is the sweet spot.

I'd also like some characters that have a big presence in the comics and toys, not just the cartoons.

Also, still waiting on that Mirage with translucent parts...

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I'm going to be optimistic and see.. however, If the scale ends up being around 8", 12" tall transformers.. not sure whether I'd rather go with a poseable transformable Takara than a statue. Still Let's wait and see.. I doubt PCS will dissappoint
