I know you wouldn't want him to replace Stafford (I wouldn't either) but to your other point - John Elway had a QB rating less than 75 in 4 of his first 7 seasons including less than 60 in his rookie season. Troy Aikman had a QB rating less than 70 in both his first two seasons and, surprisingly, in his last season.
Now, I'm not saying that Teebow will be as good or ever play like Elway or Aikman but he can definitely improve and most likely will get much better as time goes on. Not only that, but there is more to the position than the QB rating. He took a 1-4 team to the playoffs in his first season as a starter (granted in hideous fashion) but he did it. The only difference between the 1-4 team and the team that won down the stretch AND beat a very good Pittsburgh team was Teebow. Oh and Mark Sanchez's career QB rating? 73.2! Not like they are so solid that they can't use him.
I hope he gets another chance. Plenty of guys have started out worse and turned out to be really good players.
Of course it is also true that he might not ever get better, but even at that he is probably the best wildcat threat in the league and a more than serviceable back up. I don't understand the mass hatred of this guy.
