?? Everything has a cost comparable to something else. Take the average cost of a PF statue, to a family on low income, that would be clothes for the kids, a good few square meals, perhaps it would cover the water/heating/electrical bill for a month....

What's crazy is assuming everyone's situation is exactly the same as yours and therefore their spending decisions should be identical to yours as well.

I don't like the aesthetics of these products, but I can imagine the product and price make sense to those who want it......I guess you'd call it freedom of choice.

A Cimmerian
I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Although it's not something I would purchase, it is a collectible to some. We have people spending over $1500 for a Bowen Cable retro statue or thousands for some of the earlier Alien/Predator statue. Although many can't spend that amount for a statue many here find it acceptable because it's of a genre we are familiar with and support. Again, as a collector, there are many things I wouldn't spend my money on but I can still appreciate why someone might.

I guess whether we like it or not, we have to admit this thing is art. It certainly does elicit a strong response, favorable or not, it gets your attention, I can definitely see a real uniqueness to it that is becoming harder and harder in collectibles to find. Personally I can't decide if I think it is ugly or strangely pretty.
