There's nothing unusual about this, as these maquettes are always available through authorised dealers prior to them being available direct from Cinemaquette.
As JFJ has stated above, Cinemaquette don't usually allow ordering until the first shipment is due.

What I don't understand is how BBTS will fullfill hese orders quicker than CM can themselves to domestic US customers. It isn't even like they are discounting the piece in anyway. I just don't get what CM have to gain by offering so many out for pre-sale to one place, unless they are trying to gauage potential demand that is.
They wont fulfil them any quicker. They will be allocated a specific quantity from each shipment like all authorised dealers. Due to this, you can guarantee these preorders will take an extremely long period of time to fulfil.

Many that have placed a preorder via BBTS, have probably done so to save on taxes.
Though I'm sure there will be cancellations, as there always are.

I don't see why they would feel the necessity to charge £1500-£1750. I'm hoping it will be in the region of £1200.

Tril, sorry my post wasn't clear. I think £1500-£1750 before they apply a discount, which is normally at around 13% But this epends on whether they can discount the item or not.

Yes I agree, a very long time. I suppose when you think about it, BBTS are no different to FPI, or FP.com, or any of the other distributors out there who have accounts with CM.

Yes, £1500 prior to the discount would be more feasible.
