Blue Dream Studios...getting into sculpts. Help please. :)

Hi all...
I recently found this forum and WOW!
I'm still digging through everything.
I'm a new collector of sculpts and also a creator of comics and animation.

I've been given the opportunity to have sculpts made of my characters and I thought...before I shell out the money to put these in production...ask the professionals (you).

The first figure is based on Nastajia (princess of elves) from my book The Dreamland Chronicles.

Here's what she looks like in the comic...

She's 5 inches tall. She'll come on a card (like an action figure) and she's being molded (I think it's like vacuum or some sort of injection...collectible grade).
Each piece is painted and assembled. It's going to cost just under $10 a piece for me...meaning retail will most likely be about $29.95

I have many questions...but I guess the main one is...
Is this well made in your opinion? Considering the costs and the low quantity of production (1000) pieces.

I'm planning on signing, numbering, and doing an original sketch on the back of each card to enhance the collectibility of it.

Anyways...I'm planning on doing a series of these...so any advice would be much MUCH appreciated.
Thank you.
Scott

Well, i'm not into these sort of things but can't you start by getting the colours right? The painted pic looks too flat.

Thanks...
Well it may be the photo. Or the fact that I don't expect an actual model to match the brilliance of CGI in color.

Again though...I don't know what to expect.

Has anyone ever gone through this process?

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Considering the quaility that can come out of even the larger companies these days, it looks pretty darn good to me. Do you mind if I ask who/what company sculpted it? Looks like they do pretty good work. BTW, your artwork looks incredibly good! And holy mackerel, I love your website's design.
