Amiibos

Anyone in the forum collecting amiibos?

I wasn't going to get any right away, but used one of my friends to play some Smash Bros and it was really fun. Started picking up my favorite characters, it is a shame though that some are crazy rare.

I wouldn't mind picking up a few because of my general love of Nintendo characters, but I don't own a wii so I've been talking myself out of it

Yea I have a small shelf with all the opened ones. I bought the shelves just for my amiibos and the shelf is right next to my wii U so I can scan them right away.

I mean, if you guys are looking for certain ones I would gladly keep an eye out for you if you would be willing to do the same.

I am collecting just the ones I like and all the Mario Characters.

I open them of course, I don't really care for the value. I could have bought the wii fit trainer cheap from a friend but I am not attached to that character one bit so I passed

I dont have any interest in these, so I havent been following, but watch this video...WTF is Nintendo thinking? Why are there so many store exclusives? What a stupid way to sell a product and screw with customers. If I was collecting these things, it would get old fast.

These things are on sale at both Target and TRU. I had some store credit and decided to pick a few up.

The quality on these things are excellent. Sure they're small, but now I've got great 3D representations of my favorite video game characters as a kid (heck, they still are).
