Reception to Mamoa as Aquaman seems to have been quite positive online reading twitter and comment sections on various fan sites. Nice to see in light of how radical the changes were to Aquaman ;outside of 90's Arthur. Perhaps it speaks to how pervasive the JLA animated series' were as that is how he appeared in those. It may also answer why John Stewart as such a huge fan following
