As Deadpool, sure, I see Ryan doing good - depending on the script! I'm more concerned with him playing Hal.

I was flipping through the television the other night and ran into this film.

I think there are plenty of other Marvel characters far more deserving of a feature film than Deadpool.

If this film ever does get made I honestly don't see it delivering anything close to what FOX is promising. They say whatever they need to say in order to peak the interest of the character's fan base and have proven time and time again that they have little to no respect for the source material and are all about putting asses in seats by minimizing run times and watering down the material to avoid an R rating. They will never give complete creative control to a Director so it makes little difference who helms this project. Though he claimed otherwise to maintain a professional attitude rumor is thats why Aronofsky bailed on The Wolverine.

I thought he was perfect for the part the first time around and they completely botched it. Hope they get it right this time.

I thought Ryan was a good Deadpool. More than likely, hopefully, he'd have his mask on for most of the time. An X-Men post credits clip would be awesome.

Check out the test footage in the link below before FOX pulls it. It probably won't last long as it's already disappearing from other sites.

Quote:
Last summer, comic book writer/artist Rob Liefeld spoke about some test footage for the Deadpool feature film put together by director Tim Miller with Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as the Merc with the Mouth. Now, a version of that footage has appeared online. It’s unclear how the video managed to find its way to YouTube, but it can be viewed in the player below for the time being.

Deadpool has been in development for a number of years, but despite fan demand has never gotten the official green light. Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick penned the script for the film, which is set to be directed by Miller.
