I think there needs to be some education about recasts and counterfeit products because this sort of thing just kinda brings paranoia to collectors which is the last thing a collector needs.

With xm pieces it’s very simple to tell if it’s a recast.

Step 1: Make account on XM studios website

Step 2: Register your product using the 16 digit code on the bottom of the base.

NOTE** When buying a used / previously owned piece, If the product doesn’t register it doesn’t always mean it’s a recast. It might just mean the previous owner has not yet transferred ownership to to you. Get in touch with them.

DONE

This is going to get me paranoid, when buying xm statues aftermarket. Some dishonest sellers can just buy a real xm statues and then swap it out to sell the ko in his/her own official boxes, just to get the real one for free. This is bound to happen in time with so many scammers out there.

I wouldn’t worry about recast quality it’s not even close to switch pieces out you’re protected if you take pictures only use global programs like eBay offers . Try to purchase them already in North America helps too.

There are and will always be QC issues with any company. I had issues with my Samurai Batman when I first got it, but those were minor compared to the piece as a whole.

Only in some magically world will production pieces all arrive flawless.

My Magneto, Thor, Mysterio, Batman Samurai, Darkness, Sandman, Hawkeye and a buttload of others all came flawless...pretty much. At least as far as I could tell.
