customized GrendelPrime

well we were super lucky and honored to work on the GrendelPrime with Randy and I'm such a nerd one of my 'negotiations' was that I would get to talk to Matt Wagner on the phone, that's real yo.

this is just a kind of nirasawa inspired customization with just a lot of superglue and whatever we could reach

That custom looks so cool! It's all punked out. Grendel Prime looks more dangerous that way. I'd love to customize my statue the same way.

Matt Wagner had a couple of Jarrod's customizations of Grendel Prime on his personal Website. And that is nothing but cool...because we are total fanboys.

The Grendel Prime piece also appears in the recently released "Art of Matt Wagner's Grendel" book. It has a full page shot. Cool.

Thanks Randy. Thanks Matt.

Early Grendel Prime for Bowen had more of a twist in his body. (See photo). It looked cool, but I think the straight up and down look turned out kickass. In fact, I think this is our favorite piece we've ever done with Bowen.

I prefer this to the straight-on final. It's very menacing.

Amazing what you can impart into the work with a subtle gesture.
