Yeah, my college-drinkin' days are far behind me... used to drink like a fish with buds at a place called Spike's in San Luis Obispo, CA. 40 beers from around the world got you a custom plaque on the wall and shirt, enough plaques got you a gold mug, rinse/repeat...
... they had a beer called "Rusty Crustacean". It was there for only about a week, and I was the ONLY person to drink a whole glass of it, I was later told... we were there the day they released the beer, and came back a week later and it was already gone.
I've never had a beer that bad before, and dark, "undrinkable" beers are my bread & butter.
Took me a while to drink that horrible sh!t.
