NYCC 2018 Haul - Fornes, Scalera, Molina

NYCC 2018 was such a spectacular show. I could go on all day about all the amazingness that was this last weekend, but I'll keep it to just the art. I snagged 3 commissions this weekend and was beyond thrilled with each one:

Ragnarok Thor by Matteo Scalera:

Ragnarok Thor by Jorge Molina:

Punisher "Welcome Back Frank" Homage by Jorge Fornes
https://www.comicartfans.com/Gallery...46&GSub=193583

Both Matteo and Jorge did such an amazing job with Simonson's creation, I could just stare at these pieces for hours. Honored to hold such gorgeous pieces in my collection by two of my favorites.

As for Jorge Fornes....this is an absolutely perfect piece. That story ("Welcome Back, Frank" by Dillon and Ennis) is so important to me for a variety of reasons, and I feel like Jorge went above and beyond in capturing the feel of that story and that scene. One of my all-time favorite punisher pieces....if you look closely, you can see a tiny Frank tossing a tiny Carlo Gnucci off a building....such a fantastic story and scene, and Jorge is beyond incredible.

Thanks Gals/Guys, I hope you enjoy.

That Punisher piece is fantastic and love the easter egg he incorporated! Did the artist point it out to you or did you find it while combing over the details (or did you request it)?
