Back Irons and armatures with Super Sculpey ...

Can someone explain how these Backirons attach to your armatures and how to you extract the bar once the sculpt is complete?

do you bake while still attached and then extract?

how will you fill the hole? more sculpey, right?

there are many ways you cab do this, what i do is attach a lug nut that will fit the threaded pipe to the armature using super glue and aves apoxie. I set my armature down use a little glue to hold the lug nut in place then add some apoxie i make sure to use a good amount of apoxie making sure that it will stick well with the armature. Once it cures the threaded pipe screws into the lug nut attached to your armature you can add your clay now and easily unscrew the pipe when you want. To fill in the hole thats left i just use apoxie.
