reinforcement?

hi all

I am going to cast a cane for 1/6 piece, the original cane is made of a mixture of sculpey firm, very small sections of 3mm brass tube, a ball bearing and one of these:

and is very brittle.

should I reinforce the cast with a very thin length of wire?

cheers

Ryan

I'd place a length of 1/16" or so brass rod in the mold to give your casting a sturdy "spine".

Does your cane taper to a sharp point like that or is it just a base that everything is built upon?

The cane uses about 10cm (half) of the medium tool . From the wide end that is.
but once cast, I may taper the cane .
