I almost stopped watching it as I was rather bored with the movie.

Well it's been quite a few pages so I will probably have to give my ratings floor again.

Any movie that doesn't have:

1. Julia Roberts
2. Ewoks
3. An improbable love story as a plot line

can score no lower than a 3. From there it can only go up. In this case for me it gets 1 point for having Kate Beckinsale in it and 1 point for being based on a story by the amazing Philip K Dick....ergo a 5

Riddick 7/10
Really enjoyed it, some things were very far fetched but I hope they make another.

So does Vin Diesel. I guess he leveraged a ton with Universal to personally secure the rights to the character.

Not one of my favorite actors but he certainly does a great job with that character.

I agree, it is hard to imagine many other actors pulling Riddick off....

I'm looking forward to seeing this one although he trailer I saw looked like a bit of a cgi fest which was worrying. I loved the first 2.

Star Trek into darkness 8/10

Finally got around to seeing this after promising my other half I wouldn't purchase it on release with my birthday being just around the corner.. A hard promise to keep

Ultimately it was a very enjoyable film, not quite as good as the first and a couple of iffy bits but good none the less. The first is still one of my favorite films to revisit so it was always going to be hard to match it anyway. I will also mention that the Blu ray picture and sound was spectacular!

Contraband - 7/10

I really liked this - more than I thought I would - Marky Mark is proving to be a fun actor to watch with pretty decent movies.
