If ANYONE directly associated with XM was to do this, and I assume that is where you guys are coming from (because you would want the original file, and you used the words "on the low"). Then they would risk violating their license with Marvel as THAT base was NOT approved.

I'm sure there is access to enough talent on this board to produce a reasonable facsimile. It is intricate but replicable.

I found out about this statue yesterday from a pic in someone's signature for their preorders. Up until that point I thought the "XM Iron Man" was the one with Downey Jr.'s face. So looked up the pics, flipped out over the flying pose, figured out the difference between Mark 42 and 7 and was so relieved to still be able to PreOrder.

Then I saw all this about the base (no not THAT base). The original gave this thing so much meaning.
Makes it candidate to be a collection centerpiece and masterpiece instead of a very nice statue.

Macaluso at PCS has figured out ways to go around what licensor's want without violating their agreements with both He-Man's alternative hair and Chun-Li's repaint.

I can't just give up and go along with how things are going when I still want what I've seen which initiated my desire to sacrifice almost 1K for this.

I agree it would be better to have the feet on different objects in the standing pose.

Joined this forum to add my voice to the chorus of dissent. XM seems to pay more attention here.

Seriously thinking of cancelling my pre-order if this is the final base.

I sincerely hope this base isn't being rushed to meet the pre-order deadline. By comparison it just doesn't feel as creative or interesting as most other XM bases.

i agree, it's not perfect if the base is not great enough, it will worth $1k for sure IF the base is right. it's the worse base of xm for sure .
