And they're right.
Some people will still buy it, but not nearly as many.

The sculpts is one of the best. But incorrect PF scale is money saved so it's not a total loss for scale collectors.

Couldn't agree more. I am not about to start buying 1:5 statues so I can save a measly $50-$100. If this is Sideshow's thinking, that more people might be open to buy her if she is 1:5 and a bit cheaper, as opposed to 1:4 and a bit more expensive,....well, this is one collector that has absolutely no interest in that concept at all. I have absolutely ZERO interest in buying random 1:5 statues to display with my mainly 1:4 collection.

I'm thinking it was also about practicality as much as price and it would have been to large and to expensive at 1:4. From Igo's post I get the impression this thing is pretty big.

My feeling is it should have been designed to be 1:4 from the start.

I'm hoping she is on the larger size of 1:5 and the Temptation of Lady Death which to me appeared to be on the small size of 1:4 will display well together.

Too large and too expensive because of her little wings which aren't even fully opened? Or because of a base not needed like the vampirella high base?

We have had two Vampirella 1/4, two Lady Death 1/4 and two Red Sonja 1/4 and now Purgatori should be 1/5 because she is a bit larger?

And people are really defending this? But then say no to other big statues like Juggernaut, Doomsday, etc. in 1/4 in the future. They should be made in 1/5 scale cause they are a bit bigger.

Exactly! Especially if it's a well crafted statue of Purgatori in 1/4 scale. I'd pay the price.

In my case it isn't a defense, it's an explanation. People keep saying "why 1/5?" as if it makes no sense, and the size/expense is a possible explanation that makes sense, even if it isn't what people here want.

Exactly! It's not a coincidence that 90%+ of the comments in this thread are about the scale lol. I brought up Juggernaut earlier, there would be a lot a backlash if SS made him 1/5 instead of 1/4.
