I'm just an outsider really, but I agree that CC don't seem the most professional of companies.

Anyone knows what could have happened to the original triceratops molds (were there?)? Some folks here seem to know some people from SWS personally.

There were male trex head casts bouncing around some years ago, same with the stegosaurus, pachy and (now) the parasaurolophus. The triceratops never made an appearance, as far as I know.

So in the end it was a choice between an accurate portrayal of the most iconic movie scene or an anatomically correct T-rex?
As a fan and for that price tag, I'm expecting the first choice, movie magic on my shelf, the kind of stuff CC is best at, not a dino brand.
I don't care if it is too cartoonesque, I collect movie inpired statue.

If I was looking for a " realistic " T-REX, I would never consider JP design as an option.

An easy pass I won't regret, I have no space to waste on big " real " dinos.

Any other changes being made to this piece? I like it and pray the factories get it right. I’d also prefer it be film accurate it too.

Paul said in live video that they sometimes listen the fans, but in this case he will not mess with it and consider it perfect

I haven’t preordered this yet, not because I’m unhappy with it, I just can’t afford it. I think it’s beautiful. Reading the comments on this forum is really disheartening. I think people are way too critical. I understand wanting a great piece that’s representative of the scene...this is that. You people complaining about the neck and angle? Get lives. This isn’t a “Chronicle can do no wrong” post, either, I’m simply stating that if you think this is bad, you’re never going to be happy so you may as well get out of collecting movie statues.

Also: see Sideshow’s rendition for reference

At first I felt it didn't look right to me and I did make a comment on the neck but after constantly looking at it and then finally seeing it on fb live I couldn't not order it! Just looks absolutely mega and I know I will always walk into the room and think wow when its on my shelf

I’ve got a Sideshow credit that will cover the cost but really want to see if the factory gets it right this time. Last two Rexes had the dot issue and overall paint was lacking IMO. fingers crossed

I know what you mean and agreed my breakout was disappointing but I'm going to get it painted again, as for the pics of the busts the same again! Hopefully this new factory will nail it as I'm sure there's plenty of us that have taken the leap of faith!
