No way Capcom allowed Namco transferrable licensor rights to *any* of it's characters little alone Akuma.

They have Akuma for this ONE specific use in the game and that's it.

Unless Namco-Bandai and Capcom have something in the contract that gives Namco the power to produce Akuma merchandise via 3rd parties such as Prime1.
Ofcourse royalties are in the equation.

You don't know whats in them clauses, so realistically none of us here know right now.
Maybe someone from Prime1 can shed some light.

None of us know for certain but chances certainly favor the negative assertion.

I do know that Capcom is highly protective of their licenses and would likely on insist they have final approval.

Plus it would be HIGHLY unusual non standard for any contract to include such rights. It would add a ton of complexity to define what Namco could or couldn't do in such a situation.

Jerry can't make a MKX Predator, Jason, or Alien statue without the approval or their respective owners not Netherrealm.

Yeah i thought of that to begin with, these Developers are very strict on what others can do with their characters.

So i'm inclined to agree with you.
I still don't see any one besting PCS's 1/3 Akuma... God cant wait for September

Indeed, I can see one being made in future.

SFV will boost his popularity to the level he deserves. He's such a well designed character.
