Reminds me of the action master line toys.

I think that is what they were called.

Yes, Action Masters. This would sell better if they sold them the blister card packaging, and market them better, that is outside of Sideshow distribution.

The real selling point would be sticking to the cartoon accurate scale, and committing to it by getting Devastator in the line early.

Any chance they can rework the poses to look more natural like the big statues?

Super7 has a "Kenner vintage" styled 3-3/4" toy line with a similar G1/Action Masters aesthetic. They are already 2-3 waves deep, and have obscure characters like Alpha Trion. I'm not saying PCS has to go that deep, as those are priced <$20, but Super7 has a Bumblebee and planned Devastator. I think it's a good idea to observe the sales of that line to gauge character interest.

Do we have painted protos of these yet? I hope the paints remain flat but saturated like in the cartoon.

Still don't know about PVC. Reminds if thousands of knock-off DBZ figures you can find everywhere.

Hard to get behind.

These are out. A Megatron already sold for $35, which is below MSRP. They look cheaper than the renders, if such a thing is possible. From the videos, they wobble a bit without the stand, which makes me believe they're hollow. I mean, they're $50, which in today's money means a certain level of crap corner-cutting quality for a price, and it delivers. It is what it is. I'll take cut corners in a $50 piece over a $1k piece. The only positive going for it is the size for the price. I'll wait for a sale.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I have all of them so far. Joes were a little better in quality. These are fine for the price but there are some things that could of easily been done better (such as silver parts on prime came white...I painted them myself and felt it should have come that way). Megatron is great. White smoke stacks and white gas tanks I don’t on prime I thought was pretty lazy though.

For those collecting this line, watch the prices where you buy it. Bbts and entertainment earth have grimlock for $50 which is msrp. GameStop has him for $70 which is 40% over msrp. The rest of these and the gi joe (second wave) are all 20% over msrp at GameStop. Not sure why they decided to screw their customers that hard.
