I honestly didn't notice a huge difference between the 1/4 and 1/6 versions of Doomsday and Supergirl. Or at least not that the 1/4 was such an improvement that going back to 1/6 was unbearable.

Yeah I am not at all worried about details. I am curious how they will approach this, simply resize the piece, or actually change things at least somewhat. Also curios to know how this will impact TH.... two companies doing pricy-esque 1/6 scale DC statue in the same saleable regions. Batman, fine, plenty of collectors for him. But random less popular Green Lanterns like Kyle?

The argument that with modern tech 1/4 still provides more details than 1/6 due to it is simply easier to do - has been beaten to death. On this forum also.

1/6 is my scale and that is where my money go to. But I am still skeptical that both versions will be identical. Will see what it turns out to be.

I’m only really interested in Batman and two of the 10,000 Earth based Green Lanterns.

This is actually what could also be a possibility. In order to fit into smaller scale the base concept will be worked out as a medium between both. So while 1/6 will not suffer that much - 1/4 will. Somewhat what old days gaming consoles were accused of - like there limited tech capabilities slow down development of quality cross-platform games.

Using same version is also cheaper to execute - need to pay for 1 design instead of 2. Easier to coordinate with DC.

So, just curious, does this include Cheetah?

I for one won’t buy an XM piece til I see Tweeterheads version of the same character. I pretty much only get 1/6 and TH is making better pieces, IMO.

Since you mention videogames, it used to cost about 10% to add an additional platform and would increase sales about 40%. No brainer if you didn't have Sony or Microsoft paying to cover the difference. Not a perfect comparison for statues (especially with factories involved), but seems like a win win.

Agreed. I meant the general idea if they will make competing pieces at all, moving forward.

Yes.

"All upcoming Classic and The Dark Knight 1:4 DC line will be produced in 1:6 AND 1:4 scale."
