As Bale did a trilogy, it would make sense for Affleck to do the same.

Curious if he will continue with the Batman-like character that kills or actually pay attention to defining character traits like that when he has control?

I imagine that it will be closer to the comics; Affleck is renown Batman fan - to the point that I am truly flabbergasted that he actually allowed Snyder to do some of the things he did with the character in BvS.

From what I saw in Batman vs Superman and knowing Affleck is a great director and screen writer, this has every chance of becoming the greatest Batman movie of all time.
I hope there's no pressure on him to continue Snyder's approach.

He said the script of BvS is "Really unique to the genre and really smart"

I don't begrudge him that. The script was indeed unique to the genre and smart. It just wasn't edited or directed well by Snyder IMHO. The same script would have been a completely different experience in the hands of someone like Favreau or Wheddon.
That and what actor in a film has not said that?

I agree. The editing on this movie was terrible. I would have even swapped some scenes to make them flow easier.

The script was convoluted and a colossal mess aside from the editing. Honestly I think Ben was talking about his writer, egos clashing. I seen how Snyder and Goyer acted when Terio was announced lol I think Snyder is out of his depth to be trusted to lay the foundation of the DC universe. There was so many ideas and subplots crammed into that film. Webbs' AS and Whedon's AoU for example suffered from it in varies degrees as well. I guess the script is unique in the way you get Deadpool with a sewn mouth and laser eyes, or Green Lantern with a giant fart cloud which will leave you with a severe case of pink eye. And Ryan Reynolds makes fun of both movies which makes me like him. But with that said, like Reynolds, I'll give Ben the benefit of the doubt and see what he does.
