Just decided on the fabric version, but trying to be as objective as possible, there are pros and cons to each and it was a really close decision for me.
I generally like sculpted capes better than fabric capes. Fabric capes are really hard to pose, and one this size is gonna be a bit difficult to deal with. For the unskilled such as myself, it's gonna be tough to get a nice windswept look going.
On the other hand, I don't like not knowing exactly how the sculpted cape is gonna look, or what materials are gonna be used. I'm sure P1 will do a good job, but there's uncertainty there.
So again, pros and cons, and no clear cut winner for me. I opted for the safer (to me) choice.

Think I justed wanted option to leave it hanging,or style is in the same direction as the hush bats I’m displaying with it that’s why I switched

That just shows it was worth the effort to do both options.
I think the main thread had more points than this one.
For me the fabric is too conditional.
IF I could nail the look then I'd like fabric. I know it's hard though because I see too many awful looking statues with posed fabric capes.
I'm just afraid I'll ruin an integral piece of a $1000 toy.
Aside to that, since I'm dreaming, I'd want 2-3 fabric capes or at least the option to purchase. Be nice if I break one but also since I've seen the TCC pic along with the promo pics I like both poses of the fabric cape so I'd like to pose a cape for each and swap between them.

Then there's also the issue of selling.
I know I know we're all taking our entire collections to our graves but....
If you pose the cape you gotta likely flatten it out to sell or ship separate. Then the buyer has to start again...

That's a good point too, you could always let it just hang, which won't be hard to do or make the piece look bad.

Logistically, there are way fewer variables to worry about with fabric capes. That's one of the things that swayed me. You don't have to worry about weight, how they're packed, pegs that don't fit well, damage in transit, etc.

the floating effect is more natural on the fabric

Gatta say, while sculpted looks cool. I think fabric is the way to go for this piece. The fabric looks pretty high quality, plus you're not limited to display options with fabric. Personally, I think you could position the fabric cape to look even cooler than the sculpted.

I wonder if the shipping will be the same (even though sculpted is obviously heavier) though SSC
