Canon 50D. Any thoughts?

For an amateur photog, would it be worth getting a 50D or should i stick with the Rebel series?

it's probably also a bit heftier to hold compared to the Rebel.

Even with battery grip it's so small. I don't have big hands at all, I just prefer a big camera, gives you a good grip.

thanks for the comments. the photographer we hire at the bank also recommended the 40D. i have yet to really spend time holding the 50D so i can't say if it will be too big to lug around.

i still have till the end of the month before i pull the trigger.

thanks
