This is just artwork they posted on IG. I don't think Sideshow would allow them to post a concept before it was actually revealed.

Right. They've posted at least 3 different artworks a year ago and now with
#mythos #asajjventress #sideshowcollectibles #statueforum
and say " Can’t wait to show more ... Darth Nihilus from Star Wars sculpted in #zbrush"
So I'd say it's well past the floating idea stage.

Agree. I can't see this being a SSC project. Probably sculpted for a custom statue.

Yeah maybe not the best move to hashtag an employer and their specific licensed line on an unlicensed sculpture multiple times you have been working on for over a year....

That's why I don't think this will go into production. Also, I don't see Sideshow or Disney wanting to work on a Darth Nihilus when he's not well known outside of hardcore Star Wars fans. If I were a betting man, I'd say this isn't happening.
