Hell yeah prismas over prismas work great. I've been messing around with similiar stuff only with india inks and colour pencils over them. Interesting effect, it works better when you have the right paper. Very nice work though!

Thanks guys.
Have you tried pastels over Black paper, say like black construction paper? Has a great effect with certain Drawings.

Well, I've aways thought Thor should have some weathered look to him since he's an adventurer, and is in the elements.
Even in the Colder climates, even gods should show some weathering.

if i may, the reason i say "old" is because his face lines look *soft* & *saggy*. i think a weathered look would look different from an old look...but i am not an artist. just what i see

Pay no mind to those who are over critical....Some people just cannot appreciate art for what it is.....but rather find disappointment in the fact that it isn't what they want. Personally, I find all the different styles of art facinating, and I think it takes great courage to put yourself and your abilities on display Keep up the great work, and always remember that though you will get mixed feedback, I think most people are really appreciative of your uniqueness!

Vartha, that Ulik looks nice!
If I can offer a word of advice free of charge, try various line weights when inking. This is very important, for the drawing to have a visual progression. I.E so that your eye has something more substantial to focus on.
Thor could benefit from having some thicker lines on the curves of his muscles. If you changed the jaw line slightly to make it harder, I think you would be able to capture a more rugged look.
Also I think there are some lines on the muscles which are not necessary. You are trying to give definition to the form, but you might find using a minimal approach works better.
The viewers eye tends to fill in the blanks, so sometimes less is often more.
Art is much like anything else in life, the more you practice the better you get.
Try taking my suggestion on using more variations of line width next drawing. I think you'll be pleasantly suprised.
The colors you've used really push the drawing to a whole other level. I like the marker useage.

Thanks Armi, I know all about line variation, (Kubert School 81-83) I can't find my no.2 (?) quill tips out here in Arkansas, and they used to be in many art stores there in Lake county ILL. Basically I'm stuck with Microns for the moment.
I am going to use more color pencil before framing it tho. I tend to lean toward color on a drawing more than the ink.
