Homemade Wax pen (loow cost)

Hey guys ....

I just finaly finished building my own wax pen and i felt i woudl share with you as the final cost was under 10 EUR (- old DC adapter i found home).

Its made of really cheap SP mini2O mini soldering iron (12V input) handle. Regulation is made of few parts which my friend elektrician put together (3 eur). I spend most time figuring out replacing mechanism and making all those replacment parts.

In europe you dont have stuff like wax pen and i didnt felt like to buy it from USA for that extra cash when I felt it could be made really cheap.

And yeah works like verjoyed:

Another solution

Here's another solution possibly. I actually have all the parts, I just haven't combined the two yet.

Router speed control:

Wood burning knife:

WAx pen

Sure... along with the router speed control to adjust the heat.

Heck a dental tool heated by a candle can be used for wax... the only thing you need is heat....controlling the heat is the trick, wood burners and soldering irons get too hot so they but be limited.

Hey ...just found out recently my old post .
Soo in case manueld12 is still looking for answer. All those tips are home made also, Those are all hamered, cuted, brushed ordinary nails .... the "holder" is from "mechano" toy i found somewhere...

About performance ..it works really great. I can set great range of heats mainly becouse of my own regulator. I can get like 30-40-50 degre and higher ... no over heating . And its also much much smaller than those wood burners ..its neraly size of ordinary pen. Soo if you are really looking for something cheap and great performance this is the way.
