It will cost them nothing. All of those people who say - I am going to boycott now - are full of it. They will be back in the store before they get the words out of their mouth.
I hate Wal*Mart and don't shop there - but even I know nothing can stop that store.

A small lawsuit, at best, since I'm sure it was a prank by some asshole. I can't see that being the reason that finally tips people over not shopping at Walmart if everything else wrong with Walmart already hasn't.
I don't shop there unless I know they've got some price mistake that they're taking a bath on, and I'm pretty happy with that!

They can say that it was in fact someone getting on the loud speaker and making the comment. Probably it was some teenager's friend who works there and got the code to activate the loudspeaker and made the comment.

This is what we did in high school. That code was a priceless acquisition. Though we didn't say anything like this.

Haven't been in that craphole of a store for years now and I don't miss it a bit. I'd rather pay a few bucks more and support the local Mom & Pop stores.

Probably not at all. I shop there and this wouldn't change that. If I was there and heard it I probably wouldn't have even paid it any mind. The dollars in my wallet are just as green as the dollars in the Hobbits wallet and Wal Mart wants both of ours.
This sounds like a random a-hole getting on the PA and being an idiot, if he had any balls he would've walked up to the biggest black guy in the store and said "Leave now ni****" and see what happened from there. Can't blame Wal Mart for this one.
