I'm not so sure. 5-10 years ago I'd be inclined to agree with you but there is so much competition nowadays, especially in terms of Marvel product, providing collectors with a ton of options. Not to mention prices/edition sizes are at an all time high as are fees for shipping and selling online. It's a lot of risk on what often turns out to be a minimal gain unless a speculator/"flipper" is willing to sit on the piece for years.

true...the only thing i dont agree is theres not any competition for the dio piece specifically, and i dont see a revisit on this classic take for a long, long time if at all. its a guess though.

its not just Sideshow, eBay sales are down in general.
That includes other industries such as video game sales, toys, comics etc
this is a slow season naturally, things pick up November December almost every year regardless of election or economic downturn (or lackthereof)
