I feel like the REG hair saves the portrait. Makes her look younger. The old school hair accentuates her already older looking face making her look even more older (she looks late 30s to early40s with the old school hair to me). I think that is why EX looks worse than the REG even though they have the same face. IMO it's a really poor choice that they didn't have slightly more youthful face to the old school hair.

Should’ve used a model like this or anyone a bit more youthful to match her movie, comic, and cartoons look.

Why should the Ex matter?

When this was first shown, most people were on board with this piece, way before there was even any mention or confirmation on an alternate headsculpt.

And having a somewhat lacklustre Ex just makes it a certainty that I'll be preordering the regular locally, as it'll save me a bundle.

For example with the shipping quotes now being provided for the Iron Man Mark 3 Maquette regular, I've calculated that I would have to spend an additional 60% on top of what I'm paying locally to get the exact same thing direct from Sideshow.

I was really hoping that the EX head would be a young fresh/pretty 90's looking rogue. Everything else on this sculp is perfect!, I'm just not feeling the portraits.. I'm probably gonna still order it though. I still have hopes that XM maybe will do the portrait right in the future.

Dear Sideshow,

If you want to make collectors eat their words and happily smash that P.O. button in a mad sold out frenzy, release the EX version at a competitive price with a set edition size. And then you can rest on the 7th day.

You're welcome.

I can understand the notion that Sideshow cheaped out on this, but I loved the original portrait and I love it just as much with the 90's hair.

Just have to ask, for all those so disappointed by this, if this portrait was shown first, would you still be saying the same things? In other words, is it a horrible portrait, or just not different enough for you? Seems so many wanted the 90's portrait, but because it's not a completely different sculpt, everyone wants to jump ship. Doesn't make sense.

I personally think the portrait looks good with the REG hair. It just somehow doesn't work with the EX hair and makes EX head unappealing to me. I also feel kind of cheated that we don't even get a different portrait on the EX head considering that this statue comes with a MAQUETTE label (700$+).

I think the price will be a deciding factor for this piece. For now, the lackluster and lazy EX lowered my willingness to pay for the statue. Lets see how greedy Sideshow is planning to be for this piece.
