Until money no longer forms part of society these will never succeed. There is too much money tied up in oil and America would never support something which is free as it would be socialist thinking.

Borrow money from a pessimist, they don't expect it back.

It won't succeed here because as it is configured now, it's a rolling death trap (besides a fiberglass body over your head it has no saftey items), and it has no convenience items (radio, heat, ac, powered everything). Once you include all of those items, the price and weight goes up and mileage goes down.

It's very nice, but it has a helluva long way to go.

Yes, why would'nt we?

It's only "free" (overhaed and profit for your utility company) if you can fill it up yourself. Then there's overhead an profit for the service station and utility company if you have to fill up on the road.

I hope it's true. Sound's to good to be true like perpetual motion. Honda opened up a huge plant dedicated to perpetual motion and they accomplished nothing.

Let's say it it true (i hope), an electric powered 75hp compressor is huge and weighs around 1000lbs. The electric panels are barley a fraction of the weight. The motor and tank (they can use a lighter tank) are most of it.

If it means selling more cars, travel expenses, insurance, more deliveries of sales, and goodness knows how many other places would rake it in as a result, I think it's actually plausible. If there is one thing we know about people it's that money burns a hole in their pocket. If they have money, they'll spend it.

It wouldn't be easy, but society would find a way to adapt.

isn't deliver fees usually said to be the most expensive part of any product. i can see these vehicles happening if they make a huge price difference in that.

remeber. no one will lower there prices just cause it is cheaper for them to make there product but they will not raise prices either and that is what we really need at this time

Imagine, now you can have computers and TVs in every room. What political official wouldn't back an idea that glues every member of the family to a computer or TV screen all day long... lol

And the electric car - so many untrue rumors started by certain groups and too many people just buying into the lies brought death to that awesome invention.
