Too true. I think it's not only the economy itself, but the lessons folks have learned about the stability of the economy. We seem to be a bit frightened of what could happen with good reason. Personally, I'd love to unload half of my statues. But, I know that now is the worst time to do so in respect to market value.

I have also thought about letting my collection go, but I just couldnt get myself to do it either, theres too many other good statues coming out this year.

I wont know if I truly love a statue until I have owned it at least a year, once it passes the year mark and I still like it then It will always be in my collection, I dont impulse buy anymore.

Nonsense...There are pieces that you are in love with the first time you see um(in person)...then you know and all the past memories of what attracted you to the piece come out...you dont need a year ...all you need are fond memories of something you loved in the past to know...now just buying a statue just because it's ultra cool...that might take some time to decide whether or not it's a keeper

Maybe for you, but not for me, sometimes I think I love a statue until a year later i find out it was only lust and not love.

Lucky I didn't see that auction or I would have snapped that baby up. Spent the money on concert tickets instead.
