My only thought was try to paint the exposed light colored cloth the same leather color. and go with the battle damage but
I suspect the jacket will just keep flaking whenever disturbed.
The Singapore folks have done the little jacket before?
If so is there any pics of their work?
It might be a chance to fix the length too, the statue jacket is a bit short compared to the screen costume jacket.
I wonder if you can get a new jacket on without having to break the arms.
