Exactly. When will we ever see a Blazing Skull again?

At one time I had thought that the Kotobukia fine arts line would take some wind out of the Bowen aftermarket prices. But with “in my opinion” lackluster paint apps and slower than molasses releases, I feel they have squandered a grand opportunity to fill the 1/6 Marvel Universe gap that Randy Bowen left open.

Yes the koto fine arts line has been hit or miss. The black panther sculpt was great the black paint killed it for me. Vision was nice but prefer the bowen vision. Overall this line has been SUPER slow to release and statues are hit or miss. I do love their Magneto though.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Indeed Primus, Koto squandered a grand opportunity. Not all paint apps are bad tho. The DRS line although incomplete, reigns supreme regarding XMEN 1/6th.

Fine Arts Magneto and Spidey are devastatingly good. I have both and to me, they are the very best 1/6 scale statues of those characters.

Yes. Wolverine, Colossus, Psylocke, and Gambit all turned out fantastic in the DRS line. That said, you definitely can't go wrong with many of Bowen's X-MEN pieces.

Overall there were very few bowen misses and they came out on a regular basis. The variety and depth was what still draws me to them.

Absolutely. My 1/7 - 1/6 collection is dominated by Bowen pieces. Out of 44 statues I have displayed in that scale, 38 of them are from Bowen designs. There's a reason for that.
