Enjoyable movie. I bought Disney premiere acess and ordered the Target Exclusive 4k version. Comes with film maker book.

I think this was for two reasons:
1. They may need to use her in the future and they know she has quite the fanbase. Also her contract may it that Natasha can't be recast for X number of years.
2. I don't think Disney had a leg to stand on and didn't want to take it to a judge. Best save face and some coin by settling up.

It probably saved Disney money in the long run to just settle with her. Plus, they needed to get the nasty headlines out of the public eye so settling was pretty much a no-brainer.

The embarrassing part came when Disney released the statement/comment they did, taking fire at Scarlett Johansson
Good to hear a solution has been worked out. I doubt Disney wanted to grab any more damaging headlines.

I don't even think the first one was it. They had other parties that were thinking about not working with Disney on future projects due to this mess, including the Russo Bros. Plus future projects with ScarJo, not Marvel related.
Better to settle and still have access to talent than keep getting lambasted in the press and risk those future money making projects.

Well, I know they broke a contract. I said I'm shocked because of the fact that they will be bringing her back for future films after the nasty ---- they said about her when the lawsuit surfaced, and that she agreed. If I were her, I would have taken the money and been done with them for future projects.

Disney knows a money maker when they see one so I am not surprised they settled and will still hire SJ.
Plus Disney is greed personified.
