Has anyone seen the Travelers on Netflix? I started watching the first episode last night and fell asleep roughly mid way through as it was kind of boring. I just need to know if it picks up the pace at some point and if I should give it another try. Thanks

Quarry S1 - 7.5/10
Solid series from Cinemax about soldiers coming out of the Vietnam War being recruited as assassins. Great period piece that's very interesting and original. Filled the gap left by the finale of Banshee somewhat. I'd highly recommend Quarry for fans of that series.

Legion on FX.
Premier was last night, which I would give a 10/10. I'm not sure where they are going, but I'm going to give it a chance.
If the series can keep up this pace, it's going to be great.

Walking Dead Season 7 3/10
Only 4 episodes in and after an amazing first episode this is just such a bore fest. I really don't care about what is going on and real don't see Negan as a decent character. I didn't get up to his introduction in the comics so don't know if this is how he is or just how he is in the series but at this rate i'll be lucky to make it to the mid season finale without binning it

The Bastard Executioner S1 4/10
Actually I only saw the first episode (and not the whole episode...). Couldn't figure out what the hell was going on so I just stopped.
It was created by the same guy who created Sons of Anarchy so I just gave it a shot.
"The Bastard Executioner tells the story of a 14th century warrior knight in King Edward I charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword. But when that violence finds him again, he is forced to pick up the bloodiest sword of all."

The Young Pope (on HBO) - 9/10
I finished the 10 episode show last night & stand by my earlier 9/10 review score after watching the 1st 3 episodes. I almost gave this a 10/10 I enjoyed it so much. Director/Wrier Paolo Sorrentino made an amazing limited series. I don't think I've seen a more gorgeous show on television. Each scene, even the minor ones, were composed with such thought, aesthetics, beauty & complexity that I could watch it again with the sound off ... but that would be a mistake because the show's score & use of music is just incredible too. Jude Law, who co-produced the show, was fantastic in it. The show started as an exploration into papal politics but slowly morphs into one about the church's place in lives, questioning faith, childhood abandonment, & acceptance. The supporting cast, including Diane Keaton, are great too. Surreal at times, often funny to the point of being a comedy, beautiful & important. This is one of the best shows I have ever watched.

The Young Pope - Season 1
I agree it was filmed beautifully--which was no surprise having followed director Paolo Sorrentino the last few years. I wasn't as enamored with the story although it ended very nicely. Also on the plus side was the great soundtrack and Jude Law looked like he very much enjoyed playing a Trumpian pope. 8/10
