The character has A TON of adventures to have.
Recast, go to Indy in his PRIME, in the 1930's where he BELONGS and get back to the *bad ass* he was in Raiders for crying out loud!
Belloq talked about that darkness that Indy had, a nudge would "push him out of the light". Indy knew this. Get back to the source material. It will be fine. But would Disney go for that?
Probably not.

Whats so bad about rebooting a franchise? Calling hollywood lazy? There are so many here that watch fast and furious 6 and want a #7. Oh thats right, its a good popcorn movie. Lol. Seems hypocritical.

Just recast and get back to his prime, no need for reboot.

man, as easy as that sounds, its just really hard to recast someone as iconic as HF in the role. Indiana Jones has to be one of the most iconic film characters in history. HF did such a knockout job making Indy who he is that it would be difficult to just "take over" the role. i honestly can't see that happening.

Cast it well, get a good script it can happen.
Bond moved onto new actors.
Other actors have played Jones of course already.

Anyone remember River Phoenix playing a young Indiana, I think that was in Last Crusade? River didn't look anything like Harrison Ford at all, not even a little, but he pulled it off because he believed he was able to play Indiana Jones and so he was Indy. That's great acting. If the right powerhouse of an actor came along, there'd be no problem with him taking over for Harrison.

I don't want this awesome character to die with Harrison Ford, the character like any loved character is bigger than the actor,Harrison Ford may very well be the best Indian Jones we will ever see doesn't mean we should stop with him.

I think Harrison is far too old to continue as Indy. And an Indy successor (aka Mutt) in the cold war 60's and 70's wouldn't be as interesting.

So if they either reboot Indy or continue with a new Indy with the existing movies being canon, who do you think would be the right actor? Who has the charisma, comedy, looks and acting skills?
