Regardless of Tron Legacy do they have enough material to make a good film for the sequel? I liked the first but the film had a hard time keeping Maleficent on the side of angels without abandoning her position as the traditional queen of Disney's baddies entirely. Can they pull this off the balancing act again or will they embrace her as a force of evil?
First film was nice. Angelina Jolie was perfectly cast but the general story and "misunderstood" angle with the character was a little disappointing (I was expecting a much darker story)
Definitely keen for a sequel though. I think it's kind of cool when they do sequels to films like this, because you can never really expect what the story will be. I'm sure Linda Woolverton will do a great job with an original story.
I am intrigued which direction they are going to take the story of maleficent.
Woolverton is only writing the screenplay if jolie is reprising the role from what I've read.
