ECC 1/3 Hellboy 2 Abe Sapien maquette

This one is very tempting to me because it is the best Abe ever and I don't think we will ever see another one. Also, I believe it is the first statue ever that comes with a COA signed by both Guillermo and Doug Jones

Abe is phenomenal in person. The piece nailed everything. Even the official promo shots don't do it justice. That chest/storage cabinet alone is worth the price. It's a big piece so the chest is not small seeing in person. It's perfect.

I want to have both pieces but I'll pass just because HB is not up to par compared to Abe. But if anyone is thinking about getting Abe, it's a no-brainer. So awesome.

HB, however, needs some work regarding the head sculpt/likeness. In person, it's fairly obvious that the face/head looks off, it doesn't capture the classic look of Pearlman with makeup.

Seeing HB in person, I wasn't really leaning towards that one, but if they update the head sculpt and give the skin some more life, I may re-consider it. The long arm really makes it challenging to display as well, so maybe they re-consider it to a arm bent pose (ala after he takes the shot) or even give us 2 arms. Right now, I'm heavily leaning towards Abe for so many reasons. I love Doug Jones creatures.

Yep, there are a lot of cool little details on this one. The back of the base has the "suitcases" that carries the tooth fairies.

Did anyone else wind up ordering this? I decided to bite the bullet on it because I felt it would be really hard to find in the future. I doubt they will make very many.

My go to for secondhand rare ECC statues Popcultcha has this priced insanely high, so even with any potential future big discounts, that would still be a no go.

I don't think anyone else ordered this, but it's shipping next week. Shipping charges actually went down compared to the PO price.

I wish I could?ve. It?s one of my favourite characters of all times, but it?s just way too expensive, especially here in the UK. But massive congrats on your purchase nonetheless. Make sure you post photos.

Yea, super expensive. I don't like that I'm spending this much on any statue these days, but I really feared I'd never find one on the aftermarket given my experience with the Faun maquette. I'll do my best with the pics.
