Yes i think so, bcs 1:6 HMO was already expensive too.
And look at those original crazy small plastic figures without paint.. LoL.
Im strongly thinking about 3d-printing 1:6 myself.
(tried the 3D-hobby for fun with the FFF (filament wire version) but that is not enough for statues.
For same price you now have good resin printers, but the time it takes to actual making the parts and then preparing for paintwork is sooo much.
An avg part take 7hrs to print so large figure will take multiple days. Thats without making and calibrating drawings, test printing etc. Also 1kg resin is not cheap and you prob need 2 or 3 kg / each.
